JULY 2009
Quality Prizes 2009
This year, GeoPost once again took part in the quality initiative campaign organised by the La Poste Group.
The presentation ceremony for the Quality Prizes 2009 took place on 5 June at the La Poste Group headquarters and was attended by Jean-Paul Bailly and Paul-Marie Chavanne. The evening before the awards, all of the winners were invited to an event held at the Pavillon de l’Arsenal, the Parisian architectural centre. The theme for this year's Quality Prizes was "Architects of the spirit of service". During the course of the evening, the participants had the opportunity to view the "History of Parisian urbanism" and "European towers" exhibitions.
The fifth Quality Prizes ceremony saw Exapaq recognised for its quantification and local analysis methods used to organise the collection and delivery schedule. The awards were presented to the winners of the 2009 quality initiatives prizes in the afternoon, following a speech given by the Chairman Jean-Paul Bailly. The Quality Prizes ceremony organised by the La Poste Group on 5 June was followed by an awards ceremony held by GeoPost in recognition of the best quality initiatives by its subsidiaries in 2009.
The ceremony took place on 23 June just outside of Paris at the Château d’Ermenonville and was attended by Paul-Marie Chavanne and members of the GeoPost executive board, the European Operational Committee and the GeoPost Intercontinental management committee.
For the fifth consecutive year, these Quality Prizes provided the Group with an opportunity to share its best practices, single out and recognise exemplary initiatives with regard to quality and acknowledge the teams and individuals who made a significant contribution to improving quality.
The following criteria were used to select the winning projects:
- whether the project has been put to the test and technically implemented
- whether the benefits of this project can be identified and accurately measured
- whether the project results in an improvement and/or is innovative and/or resolves an existing problem.
Four main themes were identified:
- improvement in customer satisfaction
- improvement in working conditions
- improvement in workflow and facilitation of changing processes
- improvement in financial performance
A big well done to the Exapaq team for the creativity and innovative ideas that won this award!
